The Tri-Town Thunder is a Junior "B" ice hockey team based in Carrot River Saskatchewan, Canada, The Thunder compete in the Prairie Junior Hockey League. The club is currently registered as a non-profit organization in the Province of Saskatchewan. The club represents Arborfield, Carrot River and Zenon Park, with Carrot River called "home" as it is the only rink with artificial ice. == History == The club was founded in 2001 as a member of the North Saskatchewan Junior B Hockey League. The team changed to the South Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League in 2005 for a season, then back to the North Saskatchewan Junior B Hockey League in 2006 before the two leagues merged in 2007. Tri-Town Thunder played a total of five seasons in the NSJHL. In 2003-04 the Thunder were NSJHL champions and advanced to the Saskatchewan Jr. B Provincials where they lost to the Regina Capitals. On April 8, 2010 the Tri-Town Thunder won their first Jr. B Provincial championship when they defeated the Pilot Butte Storm in Game 7 in Carrot River 4-1. With the win the Thunder advanced to the Keystone Cup in Kamloops, British Columbia At the Keystone Cup, the Thunder finished the round robin with a 3-1-1 record to earn a spot in the Gold medal game.
